Amir Mousavi

Name: Amir Mousavi

Company Role: Full-stack developer

Your favorite topics / Ask me anything about: Web development

What is something about the way we work that you want to fix?

Due to COVID-19, we have to work remotely. Even though that works well with tools like ours, I would want to see my colleagues in person 🙂

What do you do at Reasonal?

I work on the front-end and back-end parts of the product. I enjoy converting designs to something functional.

Why are you good at doing what you do?

I have more than 8 years of experience working in multiple programming languages and stacks like Java, JavaScript, React, React native, and Vuejs, and I'm happy that I can help Reasonal turn this great idea into a useful and user-friendly app.

What do you like about working at Reasonal?

I believe the idea we are working on is brilliant, helpful, and much needed. More so, the colleagues at Reasonal are such a huge motivation for me.

What’s your background?

I'm from Iran. My parents were teachers and because of that, I used to read lots of books at home when I was a kid. I got interested in coding during high school. I used to implement programming homework of friends of mine and that is what made me a good programmer.

In my free time, I used to play football a lot, play football games (FIFA 🙂), and watch football matches. Full-stack football 🙂 Football and coding were my life - and still are.

I did my Bachelors in Information Technology. During university, I used to work on multiple projects including some video games like PacMan, RiverRide, and Birds Hunter, which was fun. I was also the TA for programming courses and I still like to teach programming to everyone.

Right after graduation, I started my job as a mobile and front-end developer, and here we are now.

"You take people, you put them on a journey, you give them peril, you find out who they really are." Joss Whedon

What are the values that drive you?

Racial equality and peace

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I like reading history books and playing video games (mostly FIFA 🙂 ), playing football and ping pong, and I also enjoy making programming tutorial videos.
